I’m the designer behind Kinaldie Creations. Every item is handmade by me in my workroom in Aberdeen, Scotland. All of my Harris Tweed comes direct from the Isle of Harris and I  also love to support the Independent Weavers on the island who specialise in bright and more unusual tweeds.

 

Although my passion has always been to own a small business. My main career for 20 years was within the Oil and Gas Industry working within Human Resources.

 

Back in 2018 I decided to take some time out of HR so that I could spend more time with my young family. During this time I took the plunge and set-up my Etsy Shop and my dream of running a small business had started. It wasn’t until we were faced with a Global Pandemic in 2020 that my business began to evolve. 

 

I started the business making Harris Tweed lamp shades and then I moved onto making cushions, purses, pictures, bags and greeting cards. I particularly love making cushions as well as using my embroidery machine to customise the cushions or to add designs to purses. A firm favourite to add to my purses has to be highland cows.
